Many a time, it proves useful to have a model of something. Something that represents something else. Not quite the thing itself. Perhaps the real thing is too abstract. In order to make these abstract things real-er, we must represent in models: simulation and simulacra.

The entire industry of computer science is the modelling of real and abstract concepts to allow one to find better and better ways of doing things, and interacting with the real world. Exchange, communication, and situations that could once only occur between two people can now be exponentially done on more vast levels.

Usually this is made possible by simulating people as objects, simulating objects as objects, and simulating communication as well… objects.

Relationships can even be simulated in graphs: you have the one axis here and the other there, and you have a relationship. Locations, situations, actions, interactions, reactions: can all be simulated. Fascinating!
